I recently got the chance to shoot a medical story for Ivanhoe Broadcast News based out of Florida. I got to work with producer Jann Tracey from Denver and had a really good time. Jann had everything planned out so I met her at Pikes Peak Cardiology in Colorado Springs for the first shoot. We shot a patient and doctor doing a heart test on a treadmill, then did a doctor interview discussing a new technology with heart defibrillators. Then it was off to Peyton, CO to shoot a patient that had this new defibrillator put in recently. Here are a few images from the shoot. This will be edited for broadcast news and played in a few months all over the country.

Raw Nation/ Hot Rawks logos
I was real excited when these guys called me all the way from North Carolina. They were starting up a raw/organic supplement company and needed a logo for the company as well as their first product. They were totally into what I had done in the past and were just a blast to work with. They wanted something edgy with a little sex appeal but not raunchy or over the top. Needless to say I was all over this since I rarely get a chance to do graphic work like this. The company logo came together nicely and I am very pleased with the final result. The product logo took a ton of revision but eventually they came up with the idea of a man and woman symbol connected by a flame, which I think fits the purpose of the product perfectly!
All in all it was a fun project and I learned a great deal from it.
The company is called Raw-Nation and the product is an all natural libido/energy enhancer entitled Hot Rawks
Check out their website here (http://hotrawks.com/) and pick up a bottle of Hot Rawks. It's truly an amazing product!

Garden of the Gods HD shoot
I decided to take an afternoon to film this beautiful park with my new Canon XH-A1s. It was an overcast day but I decided to shoot anyway to learn some of the manual features the camera provides. As I got closer to the park it started to snow a little off and on and after about 30 min of shooting it started to POUR! I got a few shots in before I retreated to the car. After driving down the road to get out of the park I spotted 2 deer right next to the road. I whipped out the camera and filmed them both for about 5 minutes! Overall it was a good time to get outside and use the new cam. I used the aperture priority mode most of the time in order to let enough light in on such a cloudy day. Until I upgrade to vimeo plus, you will have to watch it on their site for HD playback
Enjoy!
